White Rose started driving big trucks in 1990 & I was an over the road truck driver for 18 years. She has pulled reefers, dry boxes & flatbeds in all lower 48 states and parts of Canada. She also work in Kuwait & Iraq as a civilian contractor truck driver for the better part of 3 years. White Rose is the author of the book “Cindy in Iraq: A Civilian’s Year in the War Zone,” (published in 2006) based on her blog “White Rose Adventures”.
White Rose is the mother of 3 boys, one of which served in the Army and was in Iraq at the same time she was. She has been a member of the Patriot Guard Riders since June 2006 and in late 2010 became the Help on the Homefront Coordinator (HOTH) for the Mississippi Patriot Guard Riders.
In November 2008 she shattered both of her wrists when she fell from the top of her loaded flatbed. This, for the most part, ended her truck driving career.
In January 2010 she started going to college at The University on Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. and working on the campus radio station WUSM. In the fall 2010, she began hosting the noon show, “Southern Miss Today.” Then as a class assignment, she created, produced and hosted was has become to be “Gear Jammin’ Radio.”
